The NCSSFL Executive Board, in conjunction with the NCSSFL Nominating Committee, would like to announce a special election to fill the position of vice president. As you may already know, our former vice president, Jay Ketner from Maine, originally ran for reelection for this office. However, he unexpectedly left the Maine DOE to take a district position midway through our election cycle, and the position remains unfilled as a result. Since then the NCSSFL Nominating Committee has continued its work, and with the approval of the full NCSSFL board, we are pleased to put forward the following candidate for the position:
Vice President – Patrick Wallace, Georgia
If elected, this would be Patrick’s first term as the NCSSFL Vice President.
Duties of the NCSSFL Vice-President:
(d) The Vice President will coordinate social events for the annual meeting venue, work collaboratively with the Vice President of the National Association of District Supervisors of Foreign Languages (NADSFL) to secure sponsorships for the annual meeting, and assist the President in preparing the published agenda and program booklet for the annual meeting. The Vice President shall perform other duties as agreed upon by the Executive Board.
Per the NCSSFL bylaws: “Regular members…[and]…Retired regular members…shall have full voting privileges. Associate members shall NOT have voting privileges.”
